Proof that balanced eating can still include a cheeseburger. A homemade double cheeseburger paired with crispy potatoes and fresh watermelon makes an easy, satisfying dinner that hits the spot without making healthy eating feel restrictive.

1 serving

  • 4 oz lean ground beef, divided into 2 thin patties

  • 1 hamburger bun

  • 1 slice cheddar or American cheese

  • Shredded iceberg lettuce

  • Pickles

  • Ketchup and/or mustard

  • 1 cup diced potatoes or potato bites

  • 1 tsp olive or avocado oil

  • 1–1½ cups watermelon

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder & paprika


Form the beef into two thin patties, season, and cook in a hot skillet. Add cheese and stack the patties on a toasted bun with lettuce, pickles and your favorite condiments. Season the potatoes and air-fry or roast until crispy. Serve with fresh watermelon.
